The 2019 Mahone Bay Scarecrow Festival and Antique Fair
September 27 - September 29

2019 marks the 23rd annual Scarecrow Festival and Antique Fair where a fun-filled, family weekend awaits your arrival…

Each year the town comes to life with over 250 hand-made, life-size scarecrows. From the traditional to a scarecrow version of the Royal Family, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The festival kicks off on Friday morning when the unique and extraordinary scarecrows are officially on display.

It is truly one of the most unique festivals in the province!

The festival draws thousands of visitors each year. In addition to the scarecrows, the festival is home to the largest antiques show in the Maritimes. Other highlights include children’s activities and crafts, musical entertainment, historic graveyard tours, book sales, BBQs, yard sales, and a quilt jamboree. The scarecrows are on display for around two weeks after the festival depending on the weather.
